VIENNA, AUSTRIA, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A group of independent European RNA companies has launched the European RNA Alliance (ERA), an initiative to strengthen Europe's position in RNA technologies and improve access to high-quality solutions developed, produced, operated and supported in Europe — a conscious choice for Made-in-Europe innovation.

RNA technologies are increasingly central to modern medicine — diagnostics, disease monitoring, prophylaxis, therapeutics, and personalized treatment. Europe's expertise spans the full RNA value chain but is scattered across many small and mid-sized companies, making it hard for researchers to find the right partner and hard for excellent European firms to stay visible against far larger global players, amid growing regulatory complexity, tighter access to capital, and mounting consolidation pressure.

Seven founding companies — Anemocyte, Genevia Technologies, Immagina Biotechnology, Lexogen, MultiplexDX, siTOOLS Biotech, and TAmiRNA — are building a shared gateway to European RNA expertise, helping researchers, core facilities, biotech, pharma, and clinical teams find the right specialists and build integrated solutions.

What sets ERA members apart is the support behind every project. Unlike large providers managing vast catalogs of products and services, each member works hand-in-hand with its customers — direct access to the scientists who developed the technology, tailored experimental design, and expert guidance that high-volume suppliers cannot match.

ERA is not a merger: each member keeps its identity, technology, and independence, while high-value R&D, manufacturing, skilled jobs, and industrial know-how stay rooted in Europe. Through advisory panels, workshops, and events connecting academia, clinicians, and industry, ERA will accelerate RNA knowledge across Europe — from basic science to pharmaceutical development, while also mentoring the next generation of RNA startups and innovators.

"Europe has the expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial strength to lead in RNA science," the founders said. "ERA gives our ecosystem a stronger, coordinated voice, built on trust, transparency, cooperation and long-term value creation — and gives customers easier access to complementary European expertise, backed by a level of scientific proximity and tailored support that is difficult to achieve through large global providers."

For its founders, ERA is a first step toward building Europe's leading hub for RNA technologies — advancing innovation and personalized medicine for patients, with global ambition.

About the European RNA Alliance
The European RNA Alliance (ERA) is a strategic alliance of independent European companies active in RNA tools, services, bioinformatics, enabling technologies, translational research, manufacturing and molecular diagnostics. ERA supports the RNA community, increases the visibility of European RNA specialists, and fosters collaboration, business development, and access to funding opportunities — strengthening Europe's competitiveness in RNA technologies. ERA provides customers and partners with a clearer gateway to complementary, Made-in-Europe RNA expertise, while creating structured dialogue with academic, clinical, biotech, pharma and core facility stakeholders. ERA is a non-equity alliance: each member retains its independence, identity, intellectual property, customers, operations and strategy.
