Maxus Mining Expands Hurley West Antimony Project to Cover Historic Stibnite Prospect with Historical Results up to 16.9% Sb

Strategic Acquisition Expands Hurley Project to Over Five Thousand (5,000) Hectares

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Maxus Mining Inc. (“Maxus” or the “Company”) (CSE: MAXM | OTCQB: MXMGF | FRA: R7V) is pleased to announce that the Company has expanded (the “Acquisition”) the Hurley West Block of its Hurley Antimony Project (the “Project”, “Property” or “Hurley Project”) in British Columbia, Canada, through low-cost map staking of an additional five hundred and seventy-two (572) hectares, situated approximately ten (10) km from the historic Bralorne-Pioneer Mining Camp in the Bridge River Mining District.1

The newly acquired claims expand the Company’s land position at Hurley West and cover the historic Stibnite (Lost Gold/Oro) Prospect, an antimony-gold-silver-copper occurrence located approximately 3.7 kilometres west-northwest of Bralorne, British Columbia.2 Historical exploration at the Stibnite Prospect has identified multiple stibnite-bearing quartz-calcite veins with reported historical grab samples returning values of up to 16.9% antimony, as well as 12.0 g/t gold and 97.4 g/t silver (Please see Figure 1).2

Scott Walters, Chief Executive Officer of Maxus Mining, commented:

“The expansion of the Hurley West Block represents an important addition to our land position in the historic Bridge River mining district. By acquiring the ground covering the Stibnite Prospect, we have added a historically explored antimony-gold target with grade that is contiguous with the Hurley Project. Historical work has identified multiple stibnite-bearing veins and returned significant antimony, gold and silver values, providing us with a strong foundation for further compilation and evaluation of the expanded Property.”

Hurley Antimony Project

The Hurley Antimony Project now encompasses approximately 5,004 hectares and consists of two (2) claim blocks, the Hurley East and Hurley West Blocks. The Project is situated approximately seven (7) kilometres southeast of the village of Gold Bridge and approximately ten (10) kilometres east of the historic Bralorne-Pioneer Gold Mining Camp, which has produced over four million ounces of gold.1

The Project covers a prospective geological setting containing numerous historic gold and antimony occurrences. The Hurley East Block is located immediately south of the historic Mary Mac gold-antimony prospect and in proximity to Endurance Gold Corp.'s Reliance Gold Project, where drilling has identified gold-antimony mineralization. Historical exploration within the Hurley East Block has also identified rock, soil, and silt samples anomalous in antimony, gold and silver.

With the addition of the newly acquired claims, the Hurley West Block now encompasses the historic Stibnite Prospect, adding a documented antimony-gold-silver occurrence and an area with a significant history of exploration to the Company's Hurley Project.

Hurley West Block

The Hurley West Block is located within the historic Bridge River mining district of southwestern British Columbia. The newly acquired claims cover the Stibnite Prospect, also historically referred to as the Lost Gold and Oro occurrence. The prospect is situated between Gwyneth Lake and the Hurley River and is classified by the British Columbia Geological Survey as both a stibnite vein and dissemination and gold-quartz vein occurrence. Recorded commodities include antimony, gold, silver and copper.

The area surrounding the Stibnite Prospect is underlain by Upper Triassic Hurley Formation rocks of the Cadwallader Group, consisting of sedimentary rocks and volcanic aquagene breccia. These rocks are intruded by quartz diorite stocks and hornblende porphyry dikes of the Coast Plutonic Complex.

Historical work at the Oro 3 claim identified three (3) narrow quartz-calcite veins containing disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite, and stibnite within a quartz diorite stock near the contact with Hurley sedimentary and volcanic rocks. The veins were reported to average approximately 30 centimetres in width, strike north-northwest and dip steeply west. Historical grab samples from these veins returned values of 12.0 g/t Au and 97.4 g/t Ag.2

At the original Stibnite showing on the Oro 2 claim, narrow shear-hosted veins were historically traced for approximately sixty (60) metres, averaging approximately 25 centimetres in width and reportedly containing an average grade of 8.9% Sb. Northeast of the original showing, two (2) additional stibnite-quartz-calcite veins were identified within quartz diorite near a felsite dike. These veins were reported to average 7.5% Sb over approximately 25 centimetres across a 15-metre strike length, with one historical grab sample returning 16.9% Sb.2

Extensive History of Exploration

The newly acquired area has also been subject to multiple generations of historical exploration.

Exploration in the Gwyneth Lake area was documented as early as 1937, when Golden Mitt Mining Company Ltd. completed a shallow shaft, two short adits and surface trenching. In 1960, Hurley River Mines Ltd. completed geological mapping and eight (8) diamond drill holes. Subsequent exploration included soil geochemistry, geological mapping, rock sampling, VLF-EM and magnetic geophysical surveys, and additional trenching.2

Work completed in 1986 identified four (4) strong VLF-EM anomalies, while follow-up soil sampling identified gold-arsenic anomalies that were subsequently trenched and reportedly exposed two (2) stibnite veins. Later airborne and ground geophysical programs continued to identify conductive anomalies within the area. More recent exploration in 2018 included rock and silt geochemical sampling, with one (1) rock sample reported to have returned 2.11 g/t Au and 22.3 g/t Ag.2

The Company intends to incorporate the historical exploration information from the newly acquired claims into its ongoing geological compilation of the Hurley Project to further evaluate the mineralization potential of the expanded Hurley West Block and identify prospective antimony-gold targets for future exploration.

Community Engagement

Maxus recognizes that meaningful engagement with First Nations and local communities is an important component of responsible mineral exploration. The Company remains committed to maintaining transparent communication, minimizing environmental disturbance, and building respectful long-term relationships as exploration activities progress.

About Maxus Mining Inc.

Maxus Mining Inc. (CSE: MAXM | OTCQB: MXMGF | FRA: R7V) is a mineral exploration company focused on locating, acquiring, and, if warranted, advancing economic mineral properties in premier jurisdictions. The Company is actively progressing its diversified portfolio totaling approximately 16,490 hectares of prospective terrain across British Columbia, Canada.

The Portfolio includes 9,492 hectares across three antimony projects, anchored by the Flagship Alturas Antimony Project, where a recent discovery returned high-grade naturally occurring antimony up to 69.98% Sb. The Hurley Antimony Project, located adjacent to Endurance Gold Corp.’s Reliance Gold Project, where 2024 drilling reported 19.2% Sb and 2.16 g/t Au over 0.5 m, and the Quarry Antimony Project, which hosts historical polymetallic samples grading 0.89 g/t Au, 3.8% Cu, 0.34% Zn, 42.5% Pb, 0.65 g/t Ag, and 20% Sb.

Maxus’ portfolio further includes the 3,875-hectare Lotto Tungsten Project, where a selected 1980 grab sample from a scheelite-bearing quartz vein assayed 10.97% WO₃§, and the 3,123-hectare Penny Copper Project, which has over 100 years of recorded exploration. Recent work programs at Penny included rock sampling and geological mapping, with 2017 sampling returning copper values of 1046 ppm Cu (TK17-149c), 1808 ppm Cu (TK17-28), and 2388 ppm Cu (TK17-12). The Project is strategically located near the historic Sullivan Mine at Kimberley, British Columbia, an area that continues to attract significant exploration activity.
